Nowadays, we almost never have enough time to eat. Most of the time it has to be quick. Pizza here, burger there and a Coke to stay awake. It's not for nothing that meal prepping is now all the rage! If you prepare your own food, you save money and have more opportunities to eat healthy. In addition, unnecessary waste by food deliveries for example is avoided through.
We have developed stylish lunchboxes for transporting and keeping home-made meals warm or cool, which are designed in the style of reisenthel and offer more than the classic lunchbox. Our lunchbox is sustainable, practical and ideal for on the go, whether for lunch at work, a meeting in the park or short trips.
The coolerbag M pocket – a cool bag that also keeps warm
Lunchbox and cooler bag in one! The pocket version of the popular coolerbag is the ideal bag for lunch, snacks or chilled drinks in between. The tight-closing lid and the high-quality thermal lining keep the temperature reliably stable for a long time. The cool lunch box is available in two versions: with 4.5 (M) or 2.5 (S) litres volume.
All reisenthel lunchboxes are sustainably made from recycled PET bottles (upper material).
Meal Prepping Tips
Found your lunchbox? Then let’s get down to business. How does meal prepping actually work and what should you pay attention to? We have put together some helpful tips.
Foods that are good for meal prepping:
- Cooked rice or pasta
- Boiled beans
- Cooked meat
- Roasted vegetables
- Savoury fresh vegetables (e.g. celery, carrots, peas, peppers, kale, cabbage, radishes, etc.)
- Whole fruit (apples, oranges, stone fruit)
- Nuts and seeds
- Sauces and dips (such as salad dressings, hummus, salsa, sour cream, etc.)
Foods that do not normally prepare well:
- Softer fruits and vegetables (lettuce, berries and cut fruit).
- Crunchy foods such as fried foods, crackers or chips.
What do I need to get started?
First of all: containers. In different shapes and sizes. For example, Tupperware or glass containers with tight-closing lids. The containers should be microwave-safe, as this is the quickest way to heat up the food. Be careful with metal containers, they are not microwave-safe! Foldable sandwich bags or zip bags can also be helpful if you want to separate the ingredients.
